Park Orobie Bergamasche

After careful research and experimentation came the first successes of the project Orchis Germination tests conducted Researchers at the Center on native flora species of wild orchids Ophrys Ophrys benacensis sonoandati sphegodes and successful: in the greenhouses of Native Flora Centre you can see the first blooms.
great satisfaction for these early results, but The trial continues, other seeds of wild orchids from the Park Orobie Bergamasche are currently tested for germination.

last few days are some flowering plants and Ophrys Ophrys sphegodes benacensis is the first example in Italy of breeding and cultivation of native orchids and endemic (now rare in the area).

Just arrived in the biodiversity of the first successes of the project Orchids (Orchid Restocking and Conservation for Higher altitude Indigenous Species), project co-financed by the Fondazione Cariplo he sees the park as partners Orobie Bergamasche as lead agency, the Park Monte Barro CAI Bergamo, Italy WWF el'ALAO Association (Lombard Amateur Orchid) as technical partner. Orchis

The project, begun in 2008, has its roots in the fact that the pre-Alps of Lombardy is a region with high biodiversity of flora, exposed to environmental risks associated with direct human pressure and global climate change. In this context, native orchids are a key group for the protection of biodiversity: they combine it particularly vulnerable to an ecology specialist and a preference for endangered habitats. The consequence of this is that for many species of orchids protection
traditional and special laws are not sufficient resources and must therefore resort to ad hoc policy of conservation. And the project has among its objectives to promote ex situ propagation of some wild orchids foothills, producing plants to boost the natural populations and thus prevent the local extinction. To do this, all plants reproduced for this project by the CFA will be used to reinforce natural populations, with particular reference to orchids orobiche, in full compliance with the genetic characteristics.

Spaghetti craft, clams, scallops, sea walnuts, oysters and a julienne of leeks 2

To remember a delicious dish tasted hundreds of years ago I wanted to offer you this recipe which is different from ' original only in the presence of nuts and the absence of sea mussels.
It 's a really simple recipe but very class .... I never tire of telling you that the quality of pasta is not just an option ... but let's go.
Simettono canestrelli soaked and once opened should be cleaned from any sand.
nuts start to raw seafood (you have to find the right spot ... or scald a few seconds but be careful not to lose their water) ... then shred into small pieces would otherwise be too harsh on the palate.

Take a pan with good olive oil and cook the clams (already put in to soak before you spurghino) canestrelli then add the chopped nuts and clean sea with all the juice .. . should be enough ... adds buna then a handful of leeks cut into julienne strips and cook them the animals too .... I do not recommend it.
everything will be quite watery, but that's fine, do not worry ... because in the sauce Drain the spaghetti al dente, add the oysters with all their water (a veritable tidal wave of iodine) and finish cooking in the pan with a handful of parsley.
Serve according to your taste and voila ... a fantastic dish is ready ... where the leek flavor of the shellfish over the scale and everything is very balanced

School gardens, children in celebration of the Agricultural Institute

Positive the educational experience of the project "Iris" in collaboration with parents and grandparents

An outdoor barbecue, with specialties such as Bergamo salami, ribs and polenta, crowned the first experience of the project "School Gardens" launched State Technical Institute of Agriculture in Via Borgo Palazzo association "Friends of the Community Garden - Auser provincial." A party within the same institution that has involved some forty people, including teachers - among them the coordinator John Castellana - pupils, parents and grandparents initiators.

Bringing young people to agriculture and nature was the theme of the project which was launched last January 7 all'Agrario. In collaboration with the school grandparents of the association, a fortnight, they have made available some of the students' of their time to show how to work the land, from planting to fruit. The lessons of gardening, aimed at small groups at a time and during school hours, were given in the garden and greenhouses that arise in the same complex.

During the party organized yesterday by the association from 18, were handed a dozen dell'Agrario certificates to as many students, aged between 14 and 16 who have followed this first course called "Iris." The grid, arranged between the warehouse and garden tools, was also a nice excuse to end a fun project.

"Being useful to society and particularly the young - says Alberto Sangalli, coordinator of the association - was the driving force that led us to undertake this initiative that we offer for free. And who better than the school could be helpful in attaining this objective? So, after the start of "Project Iris" all'Agrario, the "school garden" should be the normal continuation of our social activities. The onset of this occurred just Institute Via Borgo Palazzo, which has granted us the use of this ground and the nearby greenhouse. Of course there claimed by providing the basic tools for cultivation. "

'On the basis of this success - Sangalli added - we began to receive similar requests from different classes including nursery and primary schools in the area, in particular districts Boccaleone, CELADINA, Colognola and Monterosso. We plan to develop the initiative and then giving birth to the other school gardens are intended to give practical demonstrations of the children. "
